Mylène Huynh, MD, MPH

Dr. Mylène (“Mee-lenn”) Huynh (“Winn”) is board certified in Family Practice and Preventive Medicine with over 20 years experience in integrative health and medical acupuncture. Dr. Huynh’s passion is health and healing with a life mission to promote healthier communities. She is a functional medicine practitioner with special interest and training in clinical nutrition, lifestyle medicine, mindfulness meditation and evidence-based approaches to reversing chronic diseases.

Dr. Huynh obtained both her undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville.  She completed a 21-year US Air Force career as a flight surgeon, family medicine academic faculty, clinic director, consultant to the USAF Surgeon General on preventive medicine and global health.  In addition to TruPoint Health, she serves as an integrative health physician at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.  Dr. Huynh holds appointment as Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Preventive Medicine and Biometrics at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, MD.

PATRICIA DIEFENBACH, ND, MS, CNC, CNS®

Dr. Patricia Diefenbach received her Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine from the University of Bridgeport College of Naturopathic Medicine. She has a Master of Science in Integrative Health Science; and a Bachelor of Arts in Language with concentrations in German and Mandarin from the University of York, England. She is also a Certified Nutrition Specialist® Professional. 

Her lifelong passions are health and nutrition. Most importantly, she strongly believes that the human body has the innate ability to heal itself and that focusing on treating the whole person instead of individual symptoms is the foundation to all healing. She enjoys motivating others to incorporate natural healthcare choices into their lifestyles in order to prevent disease, and promote healing and wellness. Dr. Diefenbach is a licensed naturopathic physician in the District of Columbia and state of Connecticut. She is President of the Virginia Association of Naturopathic Physicians (VAANP), and an active member of the District of Columbia Association of Naturopathic Physicians (DCANP) and the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians (AANP). She is also a member of the American College of Nutrition. Dr. Diefenbach is a proud Air Force wife and understands the dedication, commitment and sacrifices made by all who serve their country. 

Audrey Schoomaker, RN, BSN, E-RYT

Audrey Schoomaker, RN, BSN, E-RYT is a Veteran Army Nurse, a yoga instructor, certified mind body skills facilitator, and passionate advocate for the power of the mind and body to heal. She taught yoga as adjunct faculty at George Mason University for five years. She was the project coordinator a research study using therapeutic yoga (for managing low back pain) at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. Before starting her own health optimization company, Myndwell, she worked for the Uniformed Services University’s Consortium for Health and Military Performance (CHAMP) to create digital presentations to optimize human performance using mind body skills (HPRC-online.org). She has presented at national conferences, including Walter Reed’s annual “Pain Care Skills Training”, the “State of the Science”, and the Military Child Education Coalition conferences, as well as several other venues. She is mother of three children, and is married to LTG(Ret) Eric Schoomaker, former Surgeon General of the Army, who championed the use of integrative approaches for pain management in the military.
